You can feel reassured that we make our glass objects from strong borosilicate, we make them easy to handle, we back them with our 1 year limited manufacturing warranty for any defects or malfunctions, and we make them dishwasher safe.
But we get it…kids, dogs, life happens and then oops, there goes your jar of starter.
And not just your jar, but your ONLY STARTER!
Keeping a back up starter will give you a lot of peace of mind but we want to give you even more peace of mind with the Sourhouse 2-year Protection Plan.

Sourhouse’s 2-Year Protection Plan - Terms & Conditions
1. Coverage Overview
This 2-Year Glass Protection Plan provides coverage for accidental breakage of eligible glass components for a period of 24 months from the date of original purchase.
Additionally, Jar coverage plan also includes a free, one-time replacement sourdough starter with the replacement of a broken jar.
2. What is Covered
- Accidental damage resulting in cracks, chips, or complete breakage of the covered glass product.
- A one-time replacement of the broken glass part per covered item, at our discretion.
- Replacement glass will be the same or similar quality and style.
The replacement glass object will be shipped free of charge.
- [Jar coverage only] If a broken jar causes the loss of your sourdough starter, we will send out a new sourdough starter in addition to the replacement jar.
3. What is Not Covered
This Plan does not cover:
- Intentional damage, misuse, abuse, or negligence.
- Normal wear and tear that does not affect the structural integrity.
- Cosmetic scratches that do not compromise the functionality.
- Loss or theft of the product.
4. How to File a Claim
To start a claim under this Plan:
- Contact our Customer Service Team at support@sourhouse.co within 30 days of the incident.
- Provide proof of purchase and photos of the damaged item with your email.
5. Plan Limits
- Coverage is valid for the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
- Each covered product is eligible for up to one replacement
- Coverage is valid for 2 years from time of purchase
6. Cancellation & Refunds
This Plan is non-refundable after 30 days from purchase. If cancelled within 30 days and no claim has been made, a full refund will be provided.
7. Other Terms
- This Plan is an add-on and does not replace any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
- We reserve the right to modify these terms with notice, but your plan will remain governed by the terms in effect at the time of purchase.
